“My favorite outdoor activity in Winneshiek county is Spring wild turkey hunting.  The April/May season is an ideal time to watch spring foliage rise to life while watching or calling  Toms.  There are plenty of public hunting areas  and private land owners will often give permission when asked. A high gobbler population makes the county a hunters paradise.  After a morning hunt, our group goes trout fishing.  This combination of Turkey/Trout has been our favorite for 30 years.”
