Years before Bert and Grace Porter resided at the stately brick Victorian, its original inhabitants, Dighton Ellsworth and his family, darkened its stairwells, and made merry there during holidays.
Visit the Porter House on Sunday afternoon on October 30 to see, hear, or sense for yourself if any early "Porter House Ghosties" still hide in the bell tower, or lurk in the basement. No tricks--just stories and treats for all who dare visit.
Regular admission fee ($7 adults; $5 seniors; $5 youth; children under 12 are free) includes both the museum tour and story experience; or just stop in for the story and leave an optional donation. All ages welcome.
