The Little House on the Farm & Guest Barn Bed and Breakfast is located between Decorah and Waukon. These two separate units are located on our farm in beautiful Northeast Iowa.
The Little House was inspired by the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Inside and out, the Little House has the look of an authentic pioneer cabin, but with modern touches, including a T.V., shower, microwave and refrigerator.
The Guest Barn was rebuilt by salvaging a nearby barn that was soon to be destroyed. The original exposed beams and high ceiling are highlighted in the interior of the barn, as well as many re-purposed items. A silo in the barn features a spiral staircase to the lofts above. It is truly a feeling of an authentic, yet modern barn.
Breakfast, made from many locally grown foods, is delivered each morning to you at both the Little House and Guest Barn. Also provided is cookware for fixing other meals on your own. Each unit can accommodate up to 6 people with loft bedrooms and sleeper sofas.
Those staying at the Little House on the Farm & Guest Barn will be able to take a step back in time and experience a simpler way of life, feel the peacefulness of the country, while enjoying life on the farm.
